COLD WEATHER TYRES AND STOPPING DISTANCE

Maintain peak performance with Jaguar Winter Tyres.

For wet, ice, frost and slush covered roads, chose Jaguar Winter tyres. Their natural rubber compound remains malleable when the temperature drops below 7°C, helping to increase the tyre’s grip. They also have large numbers of tiny lateral grooves, called sipes, to grip the road by biting into snow and ice and dispersing water more rapidly. Winter tyres have an average of 1,500 sipes, compared with an average of 200 on a summer tyre.

Winter tyres are designed to do a specific job. Jaguar takes the best available winter tyres and tests them to ensure they work in concert with the vehicle and its safety systems. Testing is carried out on dry and wet tarmac, as well as snow and ice covered roads to ensure that the vehicles perform in all conditions.
