New York, USA, 6 October 2026: Jaguar has unveiled the all-new Jaguar Type 01, the most technologically advanced and powerful Jaguar in the brand's history. A luxury four-door GT that never arrives unnoticed, Jaguar Type 01 marks the beginning of a new generation of Jaguar vehicles and a transformative new era for the British luxury brand.
The arrival of Jaguar Type 01 inspired a celebration of contemporary culture across New York. This one-of-a-kind Jaguar world premiere extended from large-scale digital displays in Times Square, DUMBO and the Lower East Side, to the vehicle's dynamic arrival for an exclusive gathering at STORIED in West Chelsea, zip code 10001.
Jaguar Type 01 is defined by exuberant proportions, with its low roofline, long bonnet, sleek silhouette and dramatic presence. Starting from a single line and a blank sheet of paper, Jaguar Type 01 becomes the most aerodynamic and powerful Jaguar road car. A bold, one-of-a-kind Jaguar that breaks convention, it has a clear lineage to great Jaguar vehicles of the past including the Jaguar E-type and Jaguar XJS.
Beneath the clean surfaces of Jaguar Type 01 sits Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA), the bespoke platform developed exclusively for Jaguar's new generation of electric vehicles. Delivering more than 1,000PS, always with power in reserve, Jaguar Type 01 provides a driving experience that is unmistakably Jaguar. Powered by an 850-volt electrical architecture, Jaguar Type 01 delivers a 400-mile EPA range and can add 200 miles of range in 13 minutes using 350kW charging.

Creative engineering: The single line penned by Jaguar designers at the beginning of the programme was suspended from the ceiling in aluminium form as a symbol of a Jaguar design vision made possible through creative engineering.
Relentless dedication: The Impossible Panel embodied Jaguar's unwavering commitment to bringing the exuberant and dramatic Jaguar Type 01 body shape into production.
Dual character: Tyre marks from a section of Jaguar's test track illustrated the hundreds of thousands of kilometres of development and validation that shaped Jaguar Type 01's dual character: composed and dynamic.
New York provided Jaguar with an international stage from which to celebrate originality, creativity and British innovation. Guests, including Florence Pugh and friends of the Jaguar brand, celebrated the global arrival of Jaguar Type 01 with an evening dedicated to bold creativity and artistic expression. British singer-songwriter Sienna Spiro, winner of Best New Artist at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, performed an intimate set. Celebrated chef Roze Traoré conceived an exclusive culinary programme inspired by Jaguar's fearless creative vision.
