Jaguar XF Driving Performance Along Road.

The driving dynamics of Jaguar cars are legendary – XF raises this benchmark even higher.

With its superior ride comfort and outstanding sport handling, XF delivers a breadth of exhilarating driving experiences. Available on petrol and diesel1, the option of All Wheel Drive with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics gives XF even greater capability in challenging road conditions.

XF responds with agility and performs with dynamism while always maintaining ride comfort. This is thanks, in part, to XF's light, yet exceptionally strong and stiff, Lightweight Aluminium Architecture. It’s the ideal platform for the sophisticated front double wishbone and rear Integral Link suspension systems and gives XF the spirit of a sports car.

  • Jaguar XF Suspension.

Strong and light aluminium components make up XF’s sophisticated front and rear suspension systems. At the front, a double wishbone suspension structure, similar to F-TYPE’s, ensures class-leading handling. An Integral Link suspension system at the rear provides stiffness to support handling, improve ride quality even further and extend XF’s breadth of dynamic capability.

  • Jaguar XF Rear Self Levelling Suspension.

Even when fully loaded, XF Sportbrake’s comfort and precise handling is maintained by self-levelling rear air suspension2. This system automatically inflates air springs to counteract the weight of heavy loads, this helps ensure a level chassis and ride height.

Jaguar XF Ingenium Diesel Engines.

Ingenium is Jaguar Land Rover's new breed of engine designed for effortless performance, refinement and efficiency. With advanced technology and all-aluminium construction Ingenium delivers impressively low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Jaguar XF Ingenium Petrol Engines.

XF's 2.0 litre 4 cylinder Turbocharged Ingenium Petrol engines deliver outstanding usable power and torque. With their lightweight design and widespread use of low-friction roller bearings, they are built for smooth, highly efficient performance.

Jaguar XF Ingenium Diesel Engines.

Ingenium technology underpins three of the diesel engines in the XF range. These low friction, all-aluminium engines have stiff cylinder blocks and twin balancer shafts to ensure inherently low levels of vibration, for smooth day–to–day performance. All engines are equipped with Stop/Start technology1 and smart regenerative charging – harvesting kinetic energy from braking to charge the battery – for maximum economy, especially during urban driving.

  • Transparent Jaguar XF Showing Traction Distribution Of All Wheel Drive.

XF offers Jaguar's unique All Wheel Drive with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD)1 and Adaptive Surface Response (AdSR)4 on petrol and diesel models. Exclusively developed by Jaguar, the unique IDD software features sophisticated algorithms to react intelligently to road conditions. Predictive, as well as reactive, the system helps prevent you from losing traction instead of working to regain it. Adding to XF’s capability, the AdSR system can work at all engine speeds, automatically recognising differences between surfaces to exploit the maximum available grip.

Unique to this class of car, Jaguar’s All Surface Progress Control (ASPC)5 gives you added confidence in slippery conditions – whether starting from a snowy driveway, driving on an icy incline, or even towing on wet grass. ASPC is a low-speed cruise control that helps XF overcome low traction situations, whatever the weather, allowing you to concentrate on steering.

Inspired by the F-TYPE sports car, the optional Configurable Dynamics6 system allows you to set up XF's dynamics for throttle mapping, gearbox shift points and steering to suit your performance driving needs. It’s activated when Dynamic Mode is selected in JaguarDrive Control. Dynamic Mode enlivens XF's sporting character, sharpening throttle response, increasing steering weighting and performing gearshifts more quickly and at higher engine speeds. When optional Adaptive Dynamics is fitted, you can make your setting even more personal by configuring the damper settings.

  • Jaguar XF Adaptive Dynamics Wheel Highlight.

Whether you're accelerating on the motorway, cornering on country roads or navigating around town, Adaptive Dynamics6 modifies XF's response to match the conditions and your driving style. The system constantly adjusts the dampers to provide the optimum balance between poise and comfort at all times.

XF's Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) offers outstanding feedback, control and immediate power assistance. Allowing sophisticated computer management to adapt the levels of steering support, EPAS finely calibrates the amount of power assistance for every bend and manoeuvre. EPAS also works in conjunction with the car’s other assistance features, including Lane Keep Assist (LKA), and Park Assist7, to offer heightened safety and increase driver convenience.

JaguarDrive Control allows you to select Standard, Eco, Dynamic or Rain/Ice/Snow Mode, each subtly changing the steering, throttle response and gearbox shift points. Eco Mode encourages fuel-efficient driving while Dynamic Mode increases throttle sensitivity, holds gears for longer and increases steering weighting. By selecting Rain/Ice/Snow Mode, the system automatically dampens acceleration and applies more gradual traction for slippery conditions.
