SLANSKO LAKE AND DAM

Opened in 1960 and measuring 1663m long, Slansko Dam is the oldest hydroelectric power station in Montenegro, providing power to the region of Nikšić. The scenic Slansko Lake itself covers an approximate area of nine square kilometres and is popular with locals as a weekend getaway spot.

BAY OF KOTOR

The bay of Kotor is located on the south eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea, and is classified as one of the 25 most beautiful bays in the world. Its extraordinary beauty and unique cultural value have seen it included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

HAIRPIN / SERPENTINE ROAD

In 1884, after five years of hard work, the famous 25-hairpin road that connects Kotor and Njeguši was built. Designed by architect Josip Slade, part of the road takes the shape of the letter ‘M’ and is thought to be a declaration of love for the former Montenegrin queen, Milena.

LOVĆEN NATIONAL PARK

Lovćen National Park is named after the 1749m high Lovćen Mountain that sits at the edge of the park. This area occupies a special place in the hearts of all Montenegrins. Montenegro’s old capital of Cetinje nestles at the foot of the Lovćen Mountain and many of its residents head up there for picnics during the summer.

SVETI STEFAN

The islet of Sveti Stefan is situated on the best-preserved and most attractive part of the Montenegrin coast. This coastal resort features numerous churches and other monuments that bear witness to the glorious past of this region.
