SERVICE & MAINTENANCE

SERVICE SCHEDULES

To ensure that you continue to receive maximum efficiency and reliability from your Jaguar, it is important to have it serviced at the recommended service intervals at a dedicated Jaguar Approved Service Centre.

Our specially trained technicians will attend to your car using the very latest Jaguar diagnostic equipment to keep it tuned to perfection. Our commitment to use Jaguar genuine parts and accessories means there is no better way to protect the integrity of your vehicle and its resale value.

Should you choose to wait whilst the work is being undertaken, you can relax with a selection of newspapers, watch TV or take advantage of our business facilities within the dealership.

Maintenance must be carried out at the kilometers or time based intervals shown below (whichever occurs first) from the date that the vehicle is handed over to the first owner.

It may be necessary for you to give your Jaguar Approved Service Centre adequate notice when ordering a maintenance service so that the prescribed intervals are not exceeded.

Please note that all 2011 and later Jaguar models will now require 50% less maintenance due to developments in fuels, lubricants and engineering. Your Jaguar will now only require services as per the service table below.
These global changes will take effect in South Africa from the 1st January, 2013 – ensuring that you can spend more time in your Jaguar than in the workshop.

Here is the executive summary behind these service changes:

•    Fuels have become less corrosive and are cleaner to burn, doing less damage to engine parts like the cylinder block, the cylinder head valves, the variable intake manifolds and the fuel pumps.

•    Lubricants have become more efficient, such as the lower viscosity 5W30 synthetic oil that we have developed. Combined with our new reverse flow cooling system, the oil can now reach operating temperature 14% faster than before. Moving parts will wear down less due to friction and engine power is not cannibalised, significantly improving the fuel consumption of your Jaguar while the engine warms up.

•    Engineering on Jaguars is always improving, inside and out. Our engines now use hardier space-age alloys and plastics while continued improvements in engine management systems improve fuel efficiency and reduce the rate of engine wear and tear.

Please make sure to take your service handbook to your next vehicle service so that it can be amended to reflect the new service dates.
