The new, naturally-aspirated 385 hp 5.0L V8 engine offers a striking step-up in performance. Power output soars by 28 percent over its predecessor delivering a 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds, yet without affecting the average fuel efficiency of 19 mpg (average EPA estimate) or exhaust emissions. Variable Camshaft Timing and Camshaft Profile Switching optimize efficiency at low and high speeds and deliver strong low speed torque.

5.0 LITER SUPERCHARGED V8
The XF's all new 5.0 Liter AJ-V8 GEN III Supercharged engine features twin air intakes, variable inlet camshaft phasing and a new sixth generation Eaton supercharger. It is available in two power outputs – and both deliver truly exhilarating performance.
The 470 hp version is exclusive to the XF Supercharged model, and is capable of 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds. The 510 hp version is exclusive to the XFR, and can power from 0-60 mph in just 4.7 seconds.The supercharger also ensures high levels of power are available at all engine speeds, providing instant throttle response, outstanding mid-range acceleration and excellent driveability.
