    New fuel injection technology, dual independent Variable Cam Timing and the use of lightweight components mean that Jaguar's 5.0 Liter AJ-V8 Gen III engine combines power and exceptional refinement with remarkable efficiency. Continuously variable valve timing delivers higher levels of torque over a wide range of engine speeds, providing instant throttle response and broad flexibility.

    The engine develops a peak torque of 380 lb-ft and 385 hp to deliver acceleration from 0-60 mph in just 5.4 seconds, while at the same time incurring no government gas guzzler penalty.

  • New XJ - XJ Supercharger

    5.0 LITER AJ-V8 GEN III SUPERCHARGED

    The all new XJ's 5.0 Liter AJ-V8 Gen III Supercharged engines feature twin air intakes, variable inlet camshaft timing and a new sixth generation Eaton supercharger to deliver truly outstanding performance. The 470 hp AJ-V8 Gen III is capable of 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds, and the 510 hp AJ-V8 Gen III, which is exclusive to the flagship XJ and XJL Supersport model, can power from 0-60 mph in just 4.7 seconds.

    The supercharger also ensures high levels of power are available at all engine speeds, providing instant throttle response, outstanding mid-range acceleration and excellent drivability. Just like the naturally aspirated V8, the supercharged versions incur no government gas guzzler penalty, remarkable for engines of this performance caliber.
