Jaguar Announces Partnership With Renowned Professional Golfer Fred Couples
MAHWAH, N.J., October 6, 2010 – Jaguar Cars North America today announced a three-year partnership with former Masters Champion and current Champions Tour superstar, Fred Couples.
As part of the sponsorship, Couples will sport the famous Jaguar leaper logo on his golf bag and will frequently be seen driving a 2011 Jaguar XJ, XF or XK. All three vehicles' have trunks that accommodate up to two sets of golf clubs.
Couples joins the Jaguar team with a number of accomplishments in the world of golf, which include playing on multiple U.S. Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup Teams, receiving the coveted PGA Tour Player of the Year award in 1991 and 1992, winning the Player Championship in 1996 and 1984 and becoming Masters Champion in 1992, among other titles.
In 2010, Couples began playing on the Champions Tour and has won three out of the first five events he has played. Further highlighting a great year thus far, Couples also claimed a sixth place finish at the 2010 Masters.
