With Winter Mode, now a standard feature on every 2011 Jaguar, drivers can enjoy the exhilaration of driving with confidence no matter the season.

Using JaguarDrive Control TM, drivers can fine-tune the characteristics of the vehicle by selecting either Dynamic Mode, for a more engaging drive, or Winter Mode, for more assured control in the most challenging circumstances.

When activated, Winter Mode transforms the way a Jaguar responds to the road: the engine, transmission and Dynamic Stability Control work together to maximize available traction in adverse weather conditions.

• ENGINE

  Winter Mode dampens the accelerator pedal response to help the driver maintain traction.

• TRANSMISSION

  Winter Mode alters the gear change strategy, starting in second gear when pulling away on level ground, optimizing torque to the rear wheels and further maintaining traction through acceleration.

• DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL

  Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) monitors and controls tire rotation and vehicle movement by braking individual wheels and controlling engine torque. That means driving with control and confidence all year long.
