The arrival of the twin-turbo diesel completes the new XJ line-up. The 2.7 litre unit is one of the quietest in its class and responds with instant, refined power and huge reserves of torque, taking you from 0-60mph in just 7.8 seconds. As with all XJ models, peace and quiet reigns within, thanks to sophisticated noise reduction techniques.

The 3.0 litre Executive drives through a ZF six-speed automatic transmission. On the long list of standard equipment is Cruise Control with Auto Speed Limiter, air suspension, Dynamic Stability Control and Jaguar´s advanced safety system: Adaptive Restraint Technology System (ARTS™).  Exterior detailing is chrome with 19" Carelia alloy wheels. Inside there´s electric adjustment with memory for the steering column and variable heated comfort front seats, comfort leather upholstery, burr walnut veneer facia and trims.

The lavishly equipped Sovereign adds to the Executive specification with 16-way electric front seats upholstered in ruched with contrast piping, softgrain leather, 19" Polaris alloy wheels and Xenon headlights. Advanced communications technology includes Bluetooth® telephone connectivity, touch screen navigation and Jaguar premium sound, which can all be controlled by JaguarVoice™ for your convenience and safety. In the LWB version, rear seat multimedia controls are provided for the rear LCD video screens and DVD player as well as for individual control of the sound system.

Like every XJ it starts with lightness on its side, then adds the effortless power of JAGUAR´S 400bhp 4.2 litre supercharged V8, which has the abilityto take the XJR from 0-60mph in just 5.0 seconds. But it´s the controlled suppleness of the XJR´s sport suspension and powerful reassurance of its high performance R braking system that make that performance even more satisfying. Inside, there are contoured, power heated  and cooled front  seats and a choice of aluminium, burr walnut, elm or satin American walnut veneers. The distinctive R gearshift logo crowns the responsive ZF six-speed transmission with its optional sports settings. Jaguar´s touch screen Navigation System and Jaguar premium sound system are fitted as standard.
