STARS ON THE STEERING WHEEL WITH JAGUAR HERITAGE RACING 2013 EDITION OF A THOUSAND MILES

The dynasty celebrated with the Jaguar F- TYPE, which joins the Mille Miglia

Jaguar has composed a unique team of riders for the opening of the Jaguar Heritage Racing in this edition of the famous historical car race Mille Miglia. On the seats of the C-Type and XK120 , exceptional specimens that belong to the tradition Jaguar sports , sit the six-time Olympic cycling champion Chris Hoy , the world-renowned model David Gandy , the winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Andy Wallace, President and CEO Jim Gianopulos of 20th Century Fox ( who will lead with a colleague in the film industry , the German actress Hannah Herzsprung ) , the Italian Salvatore Ferragamo Jr., the fashion icon Yasmin Le Bon , and finally Michael Quinn , the grandson of the founder of Jaguar's William Lyons. To drive this exciting list of car enthusiasts there will be Alex Buncombe, the award-winning pilot of the Jaguar Heritage Racing , and motoring journalist Chris Harris, who for the occasion will be at the wheel of a Jaguar C-Type belonged to former champion formula 1 Juan Manuel Fangio. The Mille Miglia is the most prestigious sporting competition for vintage cars and in 1952 saw the debut of the disc brakes on a Jaguar sports , the C- Type, Jaguar piloted by the then Chief Development Engineer Norman Dewis and legend of Formula 1 Stirling Moss. This week Norman Dewis was on the Goodwood circuit with some team members of the Jaguar Heritage Racing 2013 to a test session that was filmed . Watch the videos on our YouTube channel > The team, composed of three C-Type three XK12O , will be followed on most of the course of five copies of the F -TYPE , the new Jaguar sports . Bernard Kuhnt , Jaguar Regional Director for Europe , which will drive alongside Hannah Herzsprung , said: " The debut of the Jaguar in 1952 the Mille Miglia was extremely important for the evolution of our products. Alluring design , performance intelligent and technological innovation are the main features of all Jaguar sports cars in the '50s and '60s and are elements that we find today in the new and extraordinary F -TYPE . 'm happy that the sports cars of the " bloodline " Jaguar will participate together in this great competition and that many people will gather to celebrate this event and drive our cars."
