XJ Model Year 2009 featured three trim levels: XJ Executive, XJ Sovereign and XJR / XJ Super V8, and offered a choice of three engines: 2.7 litre V6 diesel, 3.0 litre V6 petrol or 4.2 litre V8 petrol.
