  JAGUARDRIVE SELECTOR™: CHOOSE YOUR DRIVE

  JaguarDrive Control™ is XF Sportbrake’s automatic transmission. It is controlled through the precision engineered JaguarDrive Selector™ which rises into your hand as the ‘start’ button is pressed. Drive mode choices include Dynamic Mode, for more responsive acceleration, and Winter Mode for more progressive control in slippery conditions.

  ADAPTIVE DYNAMICS: DESIGNING THE PERFECT RIDE

  Jaguar's Adaptive Dynamics system is available for XF Sportbrake; designed to sharpen and hone its already impressive handling agility. Adaptive Dynamics delivers a superb balance between a comfortable, luxury, car ride and responsive sports car handling. The system analyses car, driving style and road conditions 500 times a second and continuously adjusts suspension to maintain a flat and level body. It improves handling without any loss of ride comfort.

  SERVOTRONIC STEERING

  XF Sportbrake’s variable-ratio power-assisted Servotronic Steering makes it easier to park and manoeuvre while giving more accurate control at higher speeds.

  ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL: STRESSFREE DRIVING

  When the optional Adaptive Cruise Control is on, a radar in the front bumper monitors the vehicle in front and, if it slows, the system automatically slows XF Sportbrake to maintain a constant distance. Once the road clears it will take the car back up to the pre-set speed. The radar also operates the Forward Alert, giving the driver an audible warning if traffic ahead slows quickly or another vehicle moves into the same lane.  Adaptive Cruise Control is also compatible with the optional Aerodynamic Pack.

  ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE: QUICK RELEASE

  XF Sportbrake’s braking system works with the JaguarDrive Selector™ to release the parking brake as the car drives away. The driver can also choose to operate the parking brake manually.

  INTELLIGENT STOP/START TECHNOLOGY: LESS IDLING, MORE ECONOMY

  XF Sportbrake cars powered by the innovative 2.2 Litre engine features Intelligent Stop/Start technology which reduces consumption and emissions produced while idling in traffic. The system detects when the engine is not needed and cuts it off. As soon as the brake pedal is released the engine bursts into life, fully operational, before the driver's foot reaches the accelerator. As well as reducing CO2 emissions, the system can deliver 5–7 percent better fuel efficiency, depending on conditions.

• JAGUAR SEQUENTIAL SHIFT™: CHANGE AND ENGAGE

  XF Sportbrake 8-speed automatic transmission constantly adapts to suit driving style for almost imperceptible, faster, smoother gear shifts with the ability to multi-downshift, avoiding any loss of power between changes.  If you need greater involvement, paddles behind the steering wheel allow manual gear changes.
  

• DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL: STAY IN CONTROL

  Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) maximises XF Sportbrake’s stability when it detects the wheels slipping.  A ‘Trac DSC’ setting can be selected to allow some slipping and overspin before the system intervenes – not only permitting a sportier drive but also essential if driving with snow chains.

• CRUISE CONTROL WITH AUTOMATIC SPEED LIMITER

  Working in tandem with Cruise Control, an Automatic Speed Limiter allows the driver to select a maximum speed that should not be exceeded.

• AIR SUSPENSION: GLIDING WITH LUXURY

  XF Sportbrake features self-levelling rear air suspension. More responsive and versatile than conventional suspension, it is self-levelling so XF Sportbrake’s ride height remains constant however great the weight in its loadspace. Air suspension allows the use of passive dampers or, when specified as an option, Adaptive Dynamics’ active dampers.
