  • INTUITIVE VISUAL CONTROLS

Most of the XF’s multimedia systems can be controlled from the easy-to-use 7" colour-screen in the centre console. The Front Media interface provides full control of an iPod or MP3 player, displaying details of playlists and music stored by artist, album and genre.

  • AUDIO

The XF comes with one of three superb audio systems, depending on the model chosen. All have CD players and radios and are compatible with WMA and MP3 players, as well as USB storage devices. The driver and front-seat passenger have full control of the output through the central  colour screen.

    - The Jaguar 400W sound system has ten speakers, with a woofer and tweeter unit in each door. For good bass reproduction, the woofer is mounted much higher than it would be in a conventional system.

    - The Jaguar 600W premium sound system has a powerful DSP amplifier and 11 speakers, including a sub-woofer for enhanced bass reproduction.

    - The Bowers & Wilkins 1200W system has 17 speakers and features Dolby® Pro-Logic II Surround Sound for extraordinary sound quality throughout the cabin. Designed and tuned for the new XF by Bowers & Wilkins, the clarity of the system’s sound reproduction is enhanced by Kevlar® cones in the larger speakers and aluminium domes on the tweeters. All systems can be fitted with a digital radio tuner.

  • BLUETOOTH® PHONE AND AUDIO

The new XF’S advanced Bluetooth® technology can link compatible mobile phones to the new XF’s in-built hands-free telephone system, without the need for wires or cradles. Calls can be made and accepted either through the central screen or the steering wheel controls.

It’s also possible to play streamed music from MP3 players with Bluetooth® through the new XF’s audio system.

    HARD DISK NAVIGATION AND AUDIO

The new XF’s optional navigation system is based on an in-built hard disk drive, which allows for much quicker searches and route calculations than conventional systems. Navigation information is initially uploaded through a DVD drive, which replaces the XF’s standard CD slot when the navigation system is specified.

This DVD drive can also be used to play audio CDs or, while the car is stationary, video DVDs. In addition, material from up to ten CDs can be imported onto the hard disk drive and played directly through the new XF’s audio system.
