PARIS MOTOR SHOW 2012

The Paris Motor Show is always a special occasion. And 2012 was more special than most, with the unveiling of the new F-TYPE. On the eve of the show, the car was revealed with the 18th century Musée Rodin as a dramatic backdrop.

The F-TYPE represents a return to Jaguar’s heartland: a two-seater, convertible sports car focused on delivering performance, agility and maximum driver reward. F-TYPE is a continuation of a sporting bloodline that stretches back more than 75 years and encompasses some of the most beautiful, thrilling and desirable cars ever built.

“Ultra-precise, powerful, sensual and, most of all, it feels alive”. This is how Global Brand Director Adrian Hallmark describes Jaguar’s all-new convertible F-TYPE sports car. “Jaguar is a founder member of the sports car segment with a rich sporting bloodline: F-TYPE re-ignites that flame.”

Following the unveiling, singer Lana Del Rey took to the stage and performed her new track, 'Burning Desire', which she has written as part of her collaboration with F-TYPE. It features on her new album and is also the soundtrack to a short film produced with Ridley Scott Associates, starring Golden Globe nominated and Emmy Award winning actor Damian Lewis. Filmed in the Atacama Desert in Chile, it’s a story of betrayal and retribution, passion and greed, where nothing is as it seems.
