XKR-S technology features

The XKR-S features a host of easy-to-enjoy, driver-focused technologies designed to deliver an outstanding driving experience.

• 

  JAGUARDRIVE SELECTOR™

  The XKR-S’s six-speed automatic transmission is controlled by the JaguarDrive Selector,™ a beautifully designed cylindrical control that rises into the driver’s hand once the “Start” button is pressed. The driver simply turns the selector to choose the Drive or Sport automatic gearshift mode. For maximum driver involvement, gear changes can also be controlled manually with the one-touch paddles behind the steering wheel.

  JAGUARDRIVE CONTROL™

  JaguarDrive Control™ provides a choice of modes to suit road conditions and driving style. Winter Mode offers a dampened accelerator response for more progressive control in adverse weather conditions, with shift settings that delay and soften gear changes. Dynamic Mode interacts with the management electronics to give a more responsive accelerator reaction, quicker gearshifts and a sportier drive.

  ACTIVE FRONT LIGHTING

  The Active Front Lighting (AFL) system features dynamic pivoting headlamps and cornering lamps that react to the car’s speed and steering input. The system can deflect the headlamp beams by up to 15° to cast light deeper into corners.

  TOUCH-SCREEN AND SATELLITE NAVIGATION

  The 7-inch touch-screen controls most major functions and keeps the number of conventional switches to a minimum. The touch-screen is used to operate the in-car audio system, Bluetooth® telephone system, satellite navigation and climate control.

  PORTABLE AUDIO INTERFACE

  The Portable Audio Interface provides full-function control of an iPod® or other MP3 player via the touch-screen. USB mass-storage devices can also be accessed through the touch-screen, and other players can be connected to the car through the standard-fit 3.5 mm stereo auxiliary input port.

• 

  BOWERS & WILKINS® SOUND SYSTEM

  The XKR-S is fitted with a Bowers & Wilkins® 525 W sound system featuring Dolby Pro Logic® II surround sound for extraordinary sound quality throughout the cabin. Designed and tuned for the XK range by Bowers & Wilkins®, it offers exceptionally clear reproduction, enhanced by Kevlar® cones in the larger speakers and aluminum domes on the tweeters.

• 

  REVERSE PARK CAMERA

  The Reverse Park Camera is discreetly hidden in the XKR-S’s trunk lid finisher. It sends video from behind the car to the 7" touch-screen, with parking guidance for the driver. Front and rear parking aids are also standard.
