The XKR is driven by a 5.0 Litre Supercharged V8 with 510 hp that delivers 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds (0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds). Continuously variable valve timing delivers higher levels of torque over a wide range of engine speeds, providing instant throttle response and broad flexibility.
The XK engine develops a peak torque of 380 lb-ft and 385 hp - an impressive 28 percent increase in power versus the previous generation XK V8 engine - to deliver acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds (0 to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds), while at the same time offering comparable fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions. -

The XKR's all new 5.0 Litre AJ-V8 Gen III R engine combines exceptional output with remarkable efficiency for such a powerful engine. Featuring twin air intakes, variable inlet camshaft phasing and a new sixth generation Eaton supercharger, it develops a peak torque of 461 lb-ft and 510 hp – a 21 percent increase in power versus its predecessor, while at the same time offering comparable fuel economy and and lower CO2 emissions.
