JAGUAR XK WINS CANADIAN BLACK BOOK BEST RETAINED VALUE AWARD
TORONTO, ON, Feb. 18, 2011 - The Canadian Black Book today announced the Jaguar XK is the winner of its "Best Retained Value Award" in the Premium Sports Car category.
The awards are honoring the 2007 model-year vehicles in each category retaining the highest percentage of their original manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) over the past four years.
"We are thrilled to achieve this accolade from the Canadian Black Book Retained Value Awards," said Lindsay Duffield, President, Jaguar Land Rover Canada. "Jaguars are distinguished by their style and performance, and of course, value and it is an honour to have the XK stand out in these awards."
The Canadian Black Book Best Retained Value Awards were introduced in 2006. Retained value is a strong indicator for how a vehicle may perform in the future. For consumers, selecting a vehicle with a high retained value (lower depreciation rate) will reduce their overall cost-of-ownership.
The Jaguar XK combines Jaguar's legendary performance with advanced technologies and sporting luxury to create a grand tourer with the heart and soul of a sports car.
From its beginning as a manufacturer of motorcycle sidecars in 1922, Jaguar Cars has grown to become one of the world's premier manufacturers of luxury sedans and sports cars and with that, one of the most recognized commercial brands. The company's vision is simple: To produce beautiful fast cars that are desired the world over. The company operates two manufacturing plants in the United Kingdom and is fully engaged in environmental programs, community work and brand awareness exercises such as motorsports.
For over 50 years Canadian Black Book has continued to be the car value guide of choice for automotive dealers, insurance companies and banks. In 2010 the company broadened its outreach to include consumers, becoming an unbiased, trusted ally and information source critical to the vehicle buying and selling process. The consumer web site at www.canadianblackbook.com has received more than two million visitors since its launch last spring. CanadianBlackBook.com provides simple tools allowing consumers to evaluate their trade-in, look up the future value of a vehicle, read expert advice, and explore new and used vehicle offerings, all for free.
