JAGUAR REVEALS NEW XFR AND XKR

Jaguar revealed the new XKR and XFR – two cars true to the heritage of Jaguar's legendary performance – at the 2009 North American International Auto Show in January.

The new XKR and XFR deliver a superb balance of high performance, dynamic ability and refinement. "We've started 2009 with the introduction of an advanced new generation engine that set new benchmarks in terms of performance, economy and efficiency," said Mike O'Driscoll, Managing Director of Jaguar Cars.

With the XF having already received accolades from major automotive publications worldwide, the new XFR with its new high performance engine and a host of changes for the 2010 Model Year, makes the XF an even more attractive vehicle.

"The new XF challenges the rules and redefines Jaguar sporting luxury. Our designers and engineers work together to develop elegant, inspired solutions to complex technical challenges. It's a simple but very effective philosophy and the result is great new products like the XFR," added Mr. O'Driscoll.

The XFR is powered by the all-new supercharged 510-bhp V8 with acceleration from 0-60 mph in just 4.7 seconds making it the ultimate Jaguar sports sedan. Distinguished by unique exterior and interior design features, the XFR includes revised bumpers and lower front air intakes, sill extensions, hood louvres and grilles, four tailpipes, a trunk-lid spoiler, unique seats and 20-inch alloy wheels.

The new generation of XKR Coupe and Convertibles, with all-new V8 engines, delivers more power and performance with greater efficiency for the 2010 Model Year. With interior enhancements and advanced lightweight aluminum body structure, the new XKR builds on 60 years of legendary performance to deliver the best of everything Jaguar.

The XKR features a 5.0-litre supercharged AJ-V8 Gen III delivering 510-bhp, 461-lb-ft of torque and propels to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds. Exterior changes for the XKR include a distinctive and purposeful new front end design, new LED rear lights and a new lower rear body spoiler. Inside the cabin, the XKR features the exciting, user-friendly JaguarDrive Selector™ that was first seen on the XF to further enhance the XKR's luxury sporting character.

Both the XFR and XKR will be available in Canada this spring.
