JAGUAR IMPRESSES AT THE SHARP: THE BOOK FOR MEN EVENT
You didn't have to look hard to discover sartorial splendor at the launch for the latest 2013 Spring/Summer Sharp: The Book for Men. Held on a blustery April evening at Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto, the event brought out Toronto's best dressed for an evening of style with substance. But even among this well-appointed crowd the all-new Jaguar F-TYPE V8 S, powerfully crouched at the party's entrance, was bound to stand apart.
True, over 400 of Toronto's fashion forward crowd could partake in scotch tasting courtesy of Glenlivet, custom cocktails from Grey Goose and Avion Tequila, or whet their whistles with Peroni beer. At the Editor's Lounge, they browsed curated collections from David Yurman jewelry, Rado and Bulgari watches and Bandier jewelers. There was even a live suit cutting demonstration courtesy of Garrison Bespoke's master tailors and on-site grooming from American Crew.
But it was the F-TYPE that set fashionable tongues wagging. The first two-seater sports car from Jaguar in 50 years with its meticulous attention to detail and customizable interior styling, make it the perfect accessory for the best-dressed set. Not to mention unique luxurious touches like air vents that rise from the centre dashboard when needed and door handles that extend out to greet you as the driver nears.
By evening's end, a parade of well-lubricated Toronto tastemakers and celebrities left clutching premium swag bags with more than a few casting reluctant stares at the F-TYPE as they headed into the night.
