Sustainability
XJ's unique aluminium body construction is leaner and greener for a number of reasons.
The lightweight structure achieves better fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions, both in driving and in manufacture.
Up to 50 percent of its body is made from recycled aluminium, thereby significantly reducing emissions during the manufacturing process.
State-of-the-art aerospace construction techniques are used for bonding and riveting, resulting in less weight, without compromising strength or performance.
The doors are one piece, rather than the usual three components, making them lighter, stiffer and more durable too.
