JAGUAR INCREASES SALES BY 13 PERCENT IN 2009
Jaguar Australia capped off a stellar year with a great finish to 2009 resulting in 1010 retail sales, which represented an increase over 2008 of 13%.
This strong increase in sales was due primarily to the XF model which sold 511 units in 2009, an increase of 45% over the previous year.
"This is a great result for the Jaguar brand, and given the challenging market conditions faced by all car makers, it shows how well accepted the new Jaguar models have been received by consumers" said Chris Lidis, General Manager, Jaguar Australia.
The Jaguar brand was one of only a few luxury marques to record sales growth in 2009.
"With the release of the 10MY XK / XKR in January and the all-new XJ in 2010, the success of the Jaguar brand appears destined to continue", Lidis added.
