JAGUAR XF WINS 2009 DRIVE CAR OF THE YEAR AWARD FOR BEST LUXURY CAR OVER $60,000

The Jaguar XF has won the Best Luxury Car over $60,000 category in the 2009 Drive Car of the Year awards for the second consecutive year. The XF 3.0 Diesel beat the Mercedes Benz E250 CDI and BMW 730d to take the title.

Chris Lidis, General Manager Jaguar Australia, commented "Jaguar Australia is honoured to win this prestigious award for the second consecutive year and this further confirms the acceptance of the XF in the Australian market"

The judges commented that "praise for the Jag's 202kW twin-turbocharged 3.0 litre diesel V6 came thick and fast. It's rocketship performance and unruffled flexibility were admired by all".
They also noted that "The XF sailed through the remaining criteria – nary a criticism was leveled at it's confident handling, supple ride or pampering refinement".
