Jaguar Tourist Sales - NOT Available for Australia

Jaguar Australia does not run a Tourist Sales Scheme for the importation of Jaguar cars into Australia by private individuals.

Importation of vehicles into Australia is governed by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government (formerly known as the Department of Transport and Regional Services) under the regulations set out by their Personal Import scheme for private individuals.

Jaguar Australia is the Licensee for all new Jaguars in Australia and as such is the legal entity for the certification of these vehicles to the Australian Design Rules.

As such, Jaguar Australia cannot issue either a compliance plate or a "Letter of Compliance" for any vehicle which was not originally manufactured by Jaguar for sale in Australia as a new vehicle. Jaguar Australia is legally bound by the conditions of the Motor Vehicles Standards Act administered by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government.
